"SOUNDS OF COUNTRY"
by Pete Smith/ Country Music Jounalist/ England
THE ADVERTISER (UK) , 2003-04-04
The new love of my life is a stunning young lady by the name of Myra Pearce, from Montana. Myra has not one but two albums on offer, and each show a different side to the lady's country talents. DRAG YOUR OWN WAGON (AlyMar), leans toward dance tunes with the swing numbers THESE LIPS DON'T KNOW HOW TO SAY GOODBYE and TRIED AND TRUE,the classic IT WASN'T GOD WHO MADE HONKY TONK ANGELS, and two-steppers, A BETTER PLAYCE TO DIE and BAD TIMES.

Adding a little contrast is the smoky ballad TELL ME SOMETHING NEW (shades of Patsy Cline) SOMEBODY LOVES YOU (AlyMar), leans toward both the positive and negative sides of love with wonderful ballads like MY TURN TO FORGET and YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME.

There is also LET ME HELP YOU CARRY THE WEIGHT, a superb inspirational number, and two Gospel songs, I'M COMING HOME and a reworking of the standard HE IS MY EVERYTHING. Two Albums of the Week---www.myrapearce.com
